A Donegal Tweed Archive

Three goddesses. Three elements. One collection woven in the heart of Donegal.

Created in collaboration with Molloy & Sons, sixth-generation weavers based in Ardara, County Donegal, The Goddesses of Ireland is a collection of 100% Donegal-made tweeds inspired by three powerful figures from Ireland’s ancient mythology — Ériu, Danu and Brigid.

Each goddess is expressed through a distinctive palette drawn from her story and the landscape of Ireland.

ÉRIU — THE LAND

Hues of green, inspired by the island itself.

Ériu is one of the ancient goddesses associated with Ireland and the figure from whom the island takes its poetic name, Éire.

Her tweed is a celebration of the land, deep greens, moss, meadow and the changing shades of Ireland’s wild landscape.

DANU — THE WATERS

Hues of blue, inspired by Ireland's rivers, lakes and seas.

Danu is an ancient mother goddess associated with water, nature and abundance.

Her palette moves through shades of blue, reflecting the waters that surround and flow through Ireland,  from deep Atlantic blue to softer, shifting tones.

BRIGID — FIRE, HEALING & CREATION

Hues of orange, inspired by sacred fire and the warmth of the sun.

Brigid is one of Ireland's most enduring goddesses, associated with fire, healing, poetry, fertility and renewal.

Her tweed is woven in warm shades of orange and flame, a celebration of creative energy, transformation and the returning light.

WOVEN IN DONEGAL

Each tweed was created in collaboration with Molloy & Sons, a sixth-generation weaving family based in Ardara, County Donegal continuing a generations-old tradition of Irish textile craftsmanship.

From the first design to the finished cloth, the collection was created with a deep connection to the landscape and heritage of Donegal.

THE ARCHIVE RETURNS

Originally created as part of an earlier collection, a limited number of The Goddesses of Ireland tweeds are now being released from the archive.

These are limited-edition pieces from the original collection and will not be restocked once they are gone.
