A substantial, beautifully heavy chopping board made from a single piece of naturally spalted beech, with a stunning live edge that follows the natural character of the tree.

This is a real statement piece. The size, weight and incredible grain make it as beautiful to display as it is practical to use. The spalted beech is full of natural movement, with deep markings, darker veins, knots and warm honey tones running through the timber. No two pieces of this wood could ever be the same.

We make our boards here in Donegal from wind fallen trees. We sawmill every tree ourselves before carefully planing, shaping and sanding each piece by hand. Where possible, we retain the natural live edge, allowing the original character of the tree to remain part of the finished piece.

The board is finished with organic food grade oils and sealed with beeswax from our own bees, bringing out the richness and depth of the natural timber.

A beautiful, heavy duty piece for chopping, preparing and serving, or simply displayed as a feature in a rustic, wood loving kitchen.
